Views from stakeholders

‘Just a massive thank you to the staff at Park Aspire for taking the time to meet with our staff and provide support and clarity on the provision we have recently set up. We came away from the experience with excitement and enthusiasm about the next steps for our school to continue to meet our children’s needs.’ (Primary School SENDCo) – Nov ‘24

Myself and my colleague came away with a whole load of thoughts and a long job list! It was a pleasure to be able to see you and your team in action with your kids. Please pass on my thanks for the information on the personal development programme and for sharing the resources. Once I have built out the first units I will send them over to you. Once we have a little more meat in the bones, we would love for you to come and visit us at our school and see our AP in action. (Secondary DHT) – Nov ‘24

‘I was so pleased to tour the school and visit classrooms from Year 1 to Year 9. Strong relationships and high expectations underpin these positive attitudes. Pupils were confident to talk with us regarding their learning. I was particularly impressed with the Year 9 student who explained he was ‘now ready’ to re-join a mainstream school, although admitted ‘he was going to miss you all’.’ (School Improvement Partner) – Jan ‘25

It was so nice to visit today. There was such a warm, positive vibe around school that I think all schools should strive for. Your staff were very welcoming and warm, and it’s easy to see why children feel safe and loved. Frankly, we hear horror stories about some of our ex-pupils in other settings, and to see two children who have a million factors working against them, safe, happy and thriving was something I think we all needed to see. Thanks to you and your staff for your time. I thoroughly enjoyed it! (Primary Academy – AP) – Jan ‘25

‘There was a great atmosphere and everything came across as really calm and purposeful.’ (Primary HT) – Jan ‘25

It was great to visit Park Aspire and we really appreciate your time. You have such a welcoming school and positive environment and we have some great ideas to try out.  As my colleague mentioned, it was great to see previous pupils of ours happy too. (Primary Academy SEND Lead, DDSL and Year 3 Teacher) – Jan ‘25

Park Aspire has offered support to our school in terms of strategies and training from the team which I’m planning to take advantage of. They also showed me and are happy to share their assessment system in terms of SEMH which I am going to use alongside our assessment lead and adapt to help support our most challenging children. The entire visit was extremely helpful. All members of staff and the children were friendly and welcoming. The opportunity to see the school ‘in action’ was invaluable and the support the team has offered after the visit has ensured that we can reach out for support to implement the strategies. I would recommend this to any school who need a helping hand with the more challenging SEMH needs they are seeing recently in school. (AHT – Primary school) – Jan ‘25

Just wanted to say thank you again for this morning. It was really great to look around Park Aspire and immerse ourselves in what you do with your children every day. We came back to school with lots to talk about and hopefully look at further training and our staffing to enable us to support our children in the best possible way. I am looking forward to hearing what our colleagues think next week. (Primary HT) – Jan ‘25

‘Park Aspire is a wonderful school and I feel privileged to have been able to see it all in action.  Park Aspire is truly an inspirational school.  The positive culture and ethos were so apparent and the children are clearly all treated with respect and acceptance.  I felt very inspired by my visit with lots of ideas and tips to take back to my school.’ (Primary HT) – Feb ‘25

‘Thank you so much for having us to Park Aspire, it really was enlightening, informative and the actual word I used to my colleague when we left was inspirational – it really did make me think yes, I am in the right job, yes we are doing lots of things right a tour school, whilst also giving me lots of food for thought for how we can do even better.’ (Primary School – AHT) – Feb ‘25

Thank you so much for accommodating our visit. It was great to see the way you work and strategies you use to support your children. The whole visit was extremely beneficial, and we had so many take-aways from our visit which we have already begun to implement. (Primary School EHT) – Feb ‘25

Excellent relationships with children and staff were very clear to see. The environment is well planned and enables children who would otherwise be failing, to have a chance. I think there is so much good practice at Park Aspire which can be disseminated to other schools. I was pleased that my schools’ visions and values were similar to that of Park Aspire. I would be interested to learn more about the alternative curriculum pathway that the children are following in the afternoon. (Primary School HT) – Feb ‘25

The inreach visit was invaluable. Being able to see ‘first hand’ the challenges that some of the children face and how staff react to this in the moment was great. We went away with lots of ideas of how we could adapt and change our environment to help our SEMH learners navigate their way through a challenging school day. It would be great to continue to work with Park Aspire to continually develop our practice and how we support our learners with SEMH need. We would welcome any of the Park Aspire team to visit our setting and suggest further ways in which we could adapt our practice / setting. It would be beneficial for our learning support assistants to visit for CPD and to be shown the excellent practice that happens at Park Aspire. (Priamry school HT/DHT & AHT) – March ‘25

Thank you so much for the tour and all of the information you provided. It really is an inspiring place! I now have lots of ideas for our new SEN provision and for strategies that can be used to support our SEMH children. The visit was informative, and it was inspiring to see the positive relationships between staff members and the children at the school. I feel that the strategies learned during my visit will have a positive impact on the staff and SEN children at our setting.  (Primary SENDco) – March ‘25
