At Park Aspire, safeguarding is paramount. We ensure that everyone working in our school has successfully completed the necessary clearances to enable them to work with children. We have staff members who are specifically trained as Designated Safeguarding Officers within school.
These staff are currently:
Designated Safeguarding Lead:
Miss Kirsty Ratcliffe (Headteacher)
Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads:
Mr Richard Morris (Deputy Headteacher)
Miss Beki Vargassoff (Assistant Headteacher)
PC Louise Whiteley-Guest (Safer Schools officer)
Please contact school should you have any safeguarding concerns and ask for any of the above members of staff on (01274) 735298. To see our safeguarding policy, please click here.
The school also follows Bradford Child Protection Procedures and the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board local guidance and has systems in place to share concerns regarding children’s welfare with our DSL and DDSLs, with parents/carers and with relevant external agencies. Part of our legal responsibility to safeguard, may also include us needing to consult specifically with and take advice from, the Police or Children’s Social Care, should the need arise.
By working closely together as a staff, parents/carers and with our partner agencies, we firmly believe that we offer a safe learning environment for all our children.
If you have concern that a child is being harmed as a result of abuse or neglect, you must not keep these concerns to yourself.
KEEPING CHILDREN SAFE IS EVERYONE’S RESPONSIBILITY.
In the Bradford district, these are the numbers that you can ring for advice and to make a referral:
You need to ensure that you speak to the appropriate organisations who can listen to and record your concern, and then take appropriate action.
